While Sony Ericsson is quietly, but surely, preparing the launching for the new XPERIA Play, we have some more details related to another SE smartphone: the MT15, also known as the Sony Ericsson Hallon. But wait! There is more. We also bring you some information about the LT15 Anzu, which is also referred to as the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X12, courtesy of GSM Arena. These 2 models are quite similar as far as design goes.
Pictures of the Hallon were leaked in a Picasa album and all images revealed were shot with a LT15 which is considered to be the same as the XPERIA X12 Anzu. If so, this beauty comes with a 12 MP camera, the very element that made Sony Ericsson’s Cybershot line famous. As we wait for more details at the MWC 2011, here is what we’ve found out about the XPERIA X12. Even if there is no official launching date for this device, it measures 125 x 62.5 x 10.9 mm in dimensions.
The AMOLED capacitive touchscreen comes with 16 M colors support and it measures 4.3 inches, enough to support a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The surface of this display is scratch resistant: good news for people which are not very careful with how they maneuver their cell phones. People interested in surfing the internet using their cell phones will be happy to know that the XPERIA X12 comes with integrated wireless, making web browsing really easy thanks to the huge display.
The 12 MP camera which we spoke of earlier is capable of taking pictures at a maximum resolution of 4000 x 3000 pixels, very impressive compared to the cameras you normally get on similar smartphones. The XPERIA X12 comes with v2.2 of the Android operating system and it is supported by a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8250 Snapdragon processor. Social integration is another feature that Facebook and Twitter addicts will be happy about. While we have yet to discover any details related to the price, we are expecting quite a spicy one, at least in the first few months after its launching.
