Motorola Xoom with wireless only can now be ordered online. We know that the Xoom was in the center of attention at this year’s edition of CES but things did not go so well for this manufacturer. The Xoom apparently failed to reach the predicted sales figures and with the launching of the iPad 2, all hope is basically gone as there are few tablets that can actually compete with Apple’s device.

The new Xoom can be ordered on websites like Staples, Amazon or Costco but we are sure that other retailers will be added to this list in a short while. Of course, since the device is only on pre-order, it will be a while until people will actually receive the tablet and play with it. The price of the Motorola Xoom has been set at $599 and you have no choice but to go with the only existing version: the 32 GB one. The device will be available on the 27th of March.
The question is: what chances does this Xoom version have in front of Apple’s new baby that comes with a $500 starting price. If you pre-order your copy on Staples before the 23rd of March, your unit will be shipped by the 25th and you will receive it on the 27th. Costco, on the other hand, has told press it will begin shipping on the 1st of April (no Fool’s Day joke, I hope). However, we hear that you’ll be getting a free gel case, just because you love them goodies!
